Its not a stupid question until you ask it.
While the young punks are eating $2 hamburgers at Cookout this weekend, this old fart is flying to Austin to edit TV commercials on the company expense account, and will catch the Marshall Tucker Band at Gruene Hall. Life is good.

Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go.
Fancy stuff that makes us feel better? I served in the military longer than you've been on this earth and done things in places around the world you will probably never see or imagine. I didn't go there to feel better - I did it out of a love for this nation and to give you the opportunity to talk smack that you can't even back up. I didn't do it on a computer game, I lived it.
Old farts will always rule over young farts because we learned the ropes from older farts.
Thank you for your service my friend. +1
Paid my dues. You'll get there.
Game. Set. Match.
BUTCH IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. GO VOLS!
While I am envious of the Marshall Tucker plans, I, being an Old Fart, still take exception at the CookOut jab. I absolutely love that place. Best shakes around. Have a great trip.
I actually feel sorry for the Young Punks in many ways. They grew up in a world that is so much different than the generation before them. Its one thing to live in a world that changes from LPs to cassettes in a decade. They are living in a world that is changing so rapidly that it is hard to keep up.
They are in unknown territory. Most of us Old Farts saw major changes in our lives, and although they came much faster than the generation before us, the changes that this generation has to keep up with is mind-boggling.
You have never met me and know I can't back it up? Why would I back anything up? Why would I try and fight someone over a good natured board? I don't make assumptions about you. You shouldn't either. Lead by example, sir. I'm saying don't try to use material things to boost an ego or portray yourself as someone on a pedestal. People have money and some don't. Some have money and choose not to drive on the autobahn. Nobody was questioning your life experiences. Don't get so sensitive and dampen the mood by making it all serious. This is light hearted and supposed to be fun. Lets keep it that way! Please. And again, thank you for your service!
Chartervol wins - Tre and his "backup" can go back to dollar night at Cotton Eyed Joe's...
Pepe, I have a cassette tape (probably have to explain what that is to this group) of my grandfather we asked him to make before he died. He was born in 1902. In it he listed things he saw happen in his lifetime (died in 1986)...things like the first time he saw an airplane. Your point is spot on.
A little high and mighty aren't ya?!
I bet this has got some great stories on it. I love stuff like that.
What I feel sorry about is the fact that the Young Punks, and alas, us Old Farts too, now have to drive vehicles that have become so nondescript, that it's hard to tell them apart. Gone are the days when vehicles were designed with style and looks in mind. Keystone Klassics, Kragar, and Corvette Rallys were the cool wheels and the BF Goodrich tires actually looked like tires rather than a gasket around the rims.
Im not gonna get too much into this but ill say this and i guarantee what i say when the young get old you WILL say at one point or another I wish id have known what i know now when i was younger
