Just wanted to share my excitement after seeing that ESPN3 will be carrying this game...........
that is all..........
Don't they blackout the game if you live close to Knoxville?
I dont believe so......
Unless it is being carried by CBS, NBC or ESPN on the major network channels then they probably wont black it out.
If it is only on PPV or some local station, then it will be playing on ESPN3
OK, I wasn't sure, I had trouble one time when I was on vacation I just don't remember the details. I am an usher at the home games and don’t watch ESPN 3 often.
They are usually blacked out in TN. Im pretty sure it was last year.

I bought the espn college game day (or something to that effect) season before last and just about every game I went to watch was blacked out and had to buy ppv and I live 4 1/2 hours away from Knoxville.
I think this is right. If you live in TN, usually you have to pay for PPV. Eventually they will have a blackout map showing where it is available on ESPN3.
yep they are blacked out so irritating
Well shoot. I live in south Carolina and never have the problem with blackouts....lucky me!
Due to financial reasons I didn't re up for my season tickets for the first time since 1996.
I'm still going to tailgate and watch the game in G-10 with a few tailgate guys.
Can you rewatch the game on Sunday on ESPN 3 or is there another way to rewatch the game on Sunday?
I have been a UT fan since I was 10 years old which means 50+ years. However, since I was in the Army at Fort Campbell I attended APSU. I will be wearing Orange and cheering for my Vols. Having said that I have to say that APSU has the greatest cheer in college sports 'go Peay'. I was at APSU when the basketball player James 'the fly' Williams was there. He was the most explosive, spectacular freshman I have ever seen. However, one night I walked into the 'little Red Barn' which was their basketball arena at the time and one of the Frat's had hung a huge banner at one end of the gym. It showed a guy with a big 'fro behind an open zipper, shooting a basketball and the caption was "The Fly Is Open Go Peay". I may have told this story on here before but that's the privilege of age.
im in the Charleston area!!! So havent really had a problem with black outs either!!!
lucky you lol
I live in Greenville and it is the backyard for the stupid underachieving clemson fans........
lol hahaha the privilege of age thats hilarious.
I have been a fan for the better part of 20 years. Going to be a great ride this fall.
Tb66, I was there... I went to APSU in 72, before I got kicked out for having too much fun, and stealing a cop car during an out of control panty raid... Me and a few buds used to scream " lets go Peay, lets go Peay....
I said in one on my first post, living on the west coast I see almost every game at N/C. UT is always on, I have paid for only 3 games over the last 3 seasons...
'70 to '74
Same for Jawga. So we have that going for us.
72 briefly... Go Vols
Last year all the games that were espn3 I had to watch after the game ended because they were blacked out. That was the case with all the SEC games.
I'm in the Hampton Roads, VA area.
Come and take them.
Does this mean the game will be on the ESPN XBox whatcha-ma-callit? I live in the DC area and don't have cable, so I'm pretty dependent upon the XBox. Two years it was fantastic, but last year there were a lot of games that were on ESPN and ESPN2 that weren't on the XBox channel (I think it has anything on ESPN3). Anyways, any game not on the XBox means I have to go to a bar and watch the game and that means a not insignificant bar tab . . .
I had to do the same thing last year. All I did to fix that this year was find a buddy who had At&T uverse or Charter cable tv and got them to put me on their account and now can use the WatchESPN on the 360 to watch sportscenter and all that good stuff. Really comes in handy. That would be my suggestion to you. I dont have cable just the internet lol
Was the 'Little Red Barn" the precursor to the Dunn Center? Lived in Clarksville from '77-00'...went to several basketball games, but don't remember the "Barn".
Yes, you can watch it on Sunday. May plan is to go Saturday, then watch with my computer on Sunday. That's why I'm glad it is on ESPN3 -- no need to pay for PPV and record it if you want to watch it the next day.
Yeah. They started the new arena my last year there. The Little Red Barn would only seat about 3,000 and the fans were literally within 5-6 feet of the floor. It was an intimidating place for opposing teams.
Edit: If I am remembering correctly the Dunn Center was being built in front of where the baseball fields were at the time. It was diagonal from the Dunn Center at that intersection.
