I don't know about everyone, but I am starting to get a little nervous. Every day that this drags out is one day less that the new coach (whoever it is) has to put a staff together and put a solid recruiting class together. I know it’s early in the week but I sure hope we don’t end up with the leftovers (so to speak). plus we stand a chance to lose Pitman and Graham if the other vacancy’s fill first.

Hart said December would be a big month. It's only Dec. 3.
GV247 Staff has also maintained from the beginning that the Hall of Fame meeting in New York would be a big factor. That starts tomorrow if I am not mistaken.
There are only four answers to any question: Yes, No, I don't know, or the Correct Answer.
While I agree we can't wait forever, I also believe it's important to get this hire right. If it's sometime in the next week, I think that gives plenty of time for recruiting.
As for Pitman and Graham, we don't know for sure if the new HC would retain them anyway.
I agree completely that Hart must get this hire right. I guess I am just being a little impatient.
Don't know about Pittman but Jay is under contract one more year so another school would have to buy him out to hire him.
Well all are a bit impatient. I see new posts everyday that talk about wives killing husbands soon. So for the sake of a few marriages I also hope this ends soon.
"Count it down with me. Five, four, three, two, one.
The national champion is clad in Big Orange!"
He really has to have somebody in by this week, unless he is getting a HUGE name. It's a huge disadvantage to hire somebody after Dec 15th, particularly if it's one of these mentioned candidates.
Or we would have to buy him out if we didn't keep him and nobody else hires him.
Come and take them.
Yeah but everyday that goes by means that we still have a shot at Gruden. I honestly think if we don't have a hire by Dec 15th, that it has to be Gruden. Had to wait out the MNF deal

I think the main thing here is that we are Tennessee fans, and off of recent trends, i totally connect with the OP here.. We have gotten used to big hopes and then let down, time and time again.. It's just a sign of the times.. I however, think this job looks so much more appealing than it did 3 years ago, I'm not very worried.. We will get a good coach, we will finish with a STRONG (see what i did there?) recruiting class and we will win games next year..

Hart did say alot would be done during the New York football meetings and I believe him. I think much will be accomplished in the next 10 days. My panic date is Dec 20

I hope your right, I drive back to East TN on Friday so it would be nice to know by then. Plus I am sure my wife would rather my face not be glued to the phone or Laptop after being gone for 2 weeks.
You my friend, are an optimist.....+1 for a never say die attitude
OK now I am more than a little nervous, Its seams like we are right back where we were when Dooley was being announced as the New Head Coach. I hope Hart pulls something out of his hat and this is all a massive smoke screen. But I really don't know how much more of this we as fans can take.
Hart owes it not only to fans, but these YOUNG MEN representing this amazing university. Hang tight, folks.
