This is very interesting if they actually go this route.
An NCAA committee is recommending changes that would affect recruiting in all college sports.
That really seem to be catered to basketball and to a lesser extent baseball moreso than football. I don't know of too many football players trying out for national teams. Maybe I'm missing something.
BUTCH IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. GO VOLS!
Thanks for the find. It seems they are finally starting to think like it's 2012 and not 1960. +1
Simplifying any of the rules is a step in the right direction. The rules may not benefit football as much as basketball, but it's a step in the right direction.
I got the same thing.
Nice find, and the most shocking part: it seems reasonable.
This is a step in the right direction but I still highly doubt we will ever see college athletes paid directly but the NCAA or the University
Sounds like the NCAA is finally going to start to make things a little easier on the coaches and going to help out the players.
This is true. Too many recruiting "traps" to get caught up in and any move to alleviate any of them is good news. +1
Agreed tnbear. It's time to adjust the rules based on the complexity of today's world, while at the same time enforcing key principles. Seems like they're headed in the right direction.
