"Old School"! A strong defense wins championships!
Gotta have faith!
Don't get me wrong.. I love Faith Hill. But I think it is quite possibly the cheesiest thing ever. Also, I'm surprised that Joan Jett hasn't filed a lawsuit yet. Because it sounds exactly like "I Hate Myself for Loving You." Ha!
I'm not watching her to hear her Sunday Night Football song, if you know what I mean?
......... WAIT She was singing? Huh, I didn't notice.

Actually under music licensing laws, you don't even have to pay royalties if your cover/parody of a song differs by more than "10%" (their term, not mine). That's why you'll see cover bands sometimes change up the lyrics to a song a bit, or take out/change an entire verse. In this case, completely rewriting the lyrics definitely meets that 10% threshold. That being said, I'm sure NBC paid the licensing money anyways just to cover themselves.
