It's "losing". Loosing is not a word. I'm just amazed at how often I see this word misspelled. For a while I thought it was typos but after seeing it as many times as I've seen it, I've come to the realization that a lot of people simply don't know how to spell it. It's kind of sad.
For those of you that this applies to, and you know who you are, fix it. For those that it doesn't apply to, there's nothing to see here.
Honestly though, no disrespect intended. Just trying to help.
That's all. Carry on.

Not to mention the difference between "to" & "too", the word "definitely", "have to" instead of "half to" (couldn't believe I seen that one, but only here in my beloved TN). We all know that spelling isn't the strong suit of people here in the south, but it does reflect a certain level of intelligence of some people so I would at least encourage the use of spell check so at least some of us can at least "look smart"...
TN State Champs: '13, '11, '10, '07, '06, '05, '04, '02, '01, '00, '98, '78, '76, '70, '64 Runner Ups: '12, '09, '08, '97, '79, '77, '75
Or how about "I seen that" instead of "I saw that"? But +1 for your support.

I thought this site was about TN athletics?
This guy must be the head of the grammar police, maybe captain. He posted the same thing on TOS. I wish that's all I had to do.
It absolutely is. Just thought I'd help some fellow Vols out. You don't have to read every thread, you know that right? That's why there is a title for every thread and it will give you a preview if you hold your mouse over the title.
Actually I'm a golf course superintendent with plenty to do, but I can spell. Just trying to help some folks out man. It's a prevelant problem on both sites, thus the reason for my posting it on both sites.
who kairs about spelin just find us a hed coach who aint no pre Madonna and can coach a qb with pocket presents
You're going to take a hit on this coop! You may "loose" some votes!
And yes, I did write "you're" as in "you are", not your . . .
"Old School"! A strong defense wins championships!
People that post on here have different backgrounds. Some will have a PhD while others may not have even attended high school. As long as you know what they mean that's all that matters. Just my two cents.
That's the spirit Viking! +1
Your are making teachers everywhere happy. No one else is happy but that OK.
+1 VooDoo, complete understand your point. I was speaking to some of the links that are put on here from "bloggers" or "writers". One perfect example is one I read earlier today. The author called out folks as "stupid", yet later in his paragraph he mentioned "do respect" and something like "your wrong".
I know some very smart friends who can't spell or do math. They are very successful, and have great families. We should not be critical of those who do not have the same educaton as some who think they are educated on this site.

-1. I write for a living but that doesn't make me immune to the occasional typo or misspelling. Volnation is full of people from different educational backgrounds. This is an informal social forum. As long as I can understand the point you are trying to get across, I couldn't care less whether you added an extra "o."
Who cares, as long as I know what the other person means I am fine with that. I do not need to go call someone out on mispelled words. We should not feel like we are getting graded by what we post on here. I really don't care if you like or not as long as your on this site you are gonna have to deal with it, cause thats the way it is. Not everyone pretends they are taking writing classes when they post. If you feel like you should teach someone how to spell then go get a job as a teacher and we will continue to spell and write however we want to write, and should not get criticized over it.
They're there in their car. Shut up.
