This was one game (yes it was a big one) and everybody is wanting to fire Dooley. We should be thankful that he took this job. He is cleaning up a huge mess and is putting this team back on track. We still have 9 games left. This team is way better then what they showed last night. I felt like we had this game in the bag and just let it slip. It happens when you have players who haven't played a hyped up game like this game was. This could be a game that sets a fire off in this team and I still believe we can go 9-3 this year.
to the board! Happy to have you here!

Dooley has shown no ability to fight through adversity so I doubt this will "light a fire". I will always appreciate what Dooley did for the program. He ran a clean program when we needed it the most. However, it's more than one game. It's his what - 15th? - loss in two seasons and 3 games (many of which were blowouts and included a loss to a horrific Kentucky team whose starting QB was a WR). Sorry, I just think it's time.
Oh! And welcome to the board and thanks for posting!

I understand Why everybody is mad. I was mad last night. I just think this team is much better than everything that happened last night and it really wasn't Dooley's fault. And thanks for having me. I love this board
I think the "we need a change" conversation is somewhat premature. Last I checked, this is September. How many times did we tank against Florida during the high tide of Big Orange football in the 90's and early 2000's? More than I would like to remember.
However, if this team does not regroup and win one on the road (Georgia/Miss St/USCe), then the AD will need to take a hard look at the leadership of the team, which of course starts with the head man. I still think we have improved dramatically, have closed the talent gap and have a strong opportunity to have a successful season.
It is September.
"Old School"! A strong defense wins championships!
