What's up with this guy's immense dislike of Johnny and A&M in general? He talked a bunch of crap last year and hasn't stopped since.
I looked him up and saw that he went to Tennessee, so I thought ya'll would know what his problem is.

No problem. He is paid to have opinions on college football. That's what commentators do.
From what I heard on the rare occasion that I listened to his show when he was on XM is that he doesn't like much of anything that's not Bama. He may be an alum, but I've never heard any affinity for UT at all.
I assume he will be a lot more tolarable in Charlotte.
I thought Finebaum was good at radio. I didn't really think he was all that good on TV today. When Pollack (who I despise) disagreed with Finebaum over Manziel, Finebaum went over the top to prove his point. It was uncomfortable to watch.
I used to love him on radio. It was a very entertaining show. He just seems lost on tv!
Other than he's an A-1 horse's who can't seem to get his nose out of the proverbial butt of Alabama athletics. He's an obnoxious homer for Bama. Since tamu beat them last year I am sure he will take every opportunity to tear Manziel down to make himself feel better.
Its not a stupid question until you ask it.
Paul isn't for everyone, but he's incredibly good at what he does.

you are right Wes. What he does is suck up to Bama and he does it extremely well. He is so attached to them it is sickening!
He's been doing an Alabama-based talk show for years. What was he supposed to do, pull for Notre Dame?
He works for ESPN now doing a national show. His focus will change from Alabama to the entire SEC.
I knew Paul casually when we were kids and followed his career. He was pretty much the same at 8 years old and rubbed a lot of kids the wrong way but he never cared. You may not like him but he is what he is. And he was right about both Kiffin and Dooley.
Paul isn't "for" any team. He's made a fortune prompting Bammers and Barners to whiz on each other's legs on the radio all afternoon.
I have listened to Paul for a long time. He just tells it how it is. He used to give Bama hell when they had Shula. He knows his **it. He is a UT alum. He has told me that he pulls for the VOLS but his job is to speak is mind and we have sucked lately. Great radio though!
Was this on college football live? How did you bear that? That entire show is useless drivel. It it was elsewhere then in must apologize.
There are only four answers to any question: Yes, No, I don't know, or the Correct Answer.
SEC media day coverage on ESPN today
I will never forgive him for how he totally trashed Coach Fulmer. every day for what seemed like 10 years non stop on radio. So, I simply cannot understand how any Vol fans like the guy...??? seriously. I live in Birmingham....I stopped listening to him a long time ago and I never will listen to him on ESPN, and hope he falls flat on his chrome dome.

If Finebaum went over the top to disagree with Pollack then that's fine by me.

It just made for awkward television.
"Incredibly good"? Uh...no. STRONGLY disagree.
I'm just sayin ... very few people in our business make more money than Paul.
His bank account doesn't mean he's good. Just means he's been fortunate. I can name lots of people who are rich and still suck. I'd rather listen to you and Ryan 10 out of 10 times any day! Plus, he's a traitor of the worst kind. I don't like anything that Benedict Arnold says.

How is he a 'traitor'? Because he is a journalist so he doesn't necessarily pull for any team? Wouldn't that make Wes and Ryan traitors as they both are alums, but they do not pull for TN? He gets paid to talk football. When bama is good he boosts them up, when aubs was good he boosted them up. He will talk positively about the team that is winning and people in AL love it. Since aubs and bama hate one another all he has to do is feed off of the negative energy,
He calls it the way he sees it. If a coach is struggling then so be it. You can't get pissed off at the guy since his opinion, right more often than not, disagrees with yours.
