"When we step on that football field, everyone flips a switch. And it's on..." - Butch Jones
So the head coach is mad with Boyd? Vol lock
Formally known as govols011 - follow me on twitter @C_Dillard6
I wonder why Boyd's HS coach is frustrated with the situation as he stated? It's not his decision. Is coach trying to push him one way or the other?
interesting..wonder what has the coach so frustrated..
And welcome back Denver. havent seen you in a bit.
Thanks, man. Things at work had been slow since mid-Dec, but recently got busy so I needed to dial back my 24/7 time to something less than 24/7, which is what it had become.
I can't read that update as anything but neutral or positive for us. I would guess his coach is frustrated by a last-minute change of heart from Boyd...that's all I can infer. Hopefully I'm right. He would round out a crazy WR class.
That's what I found odd. I think a lot of these coaches think they should do what they want them to do and tell them is what's best for them.... He must be on Pitt's payroll.
Great news for us!

agreed. just read on ESPN that though Boyd was supposed to announce at 10am tomorrow, mom is saying that may not happen now, and they may just fax the letter to Pitt, WVU or UT, or they may not make a decision at all tomorrow.. Boyd is apparently pretty torn at this point.
You kind have to feel sorry for the kid. His is being pulled in different directions by the people close to him... It has to be tough.
All this sounds ALLSOME
yep..he's got mom in one ear, his HS coach in another, and recruiters trying to pull him three different ways..
Agree with this.
I am afraid with Mama so intensely involved, he's liable to get homesick.
This. I can't imagine the pressure some of these kids face. They're just teenagers and are facing the biggest decision of their lives. The right choice and they could end up in the NFL; the wrong choice and they could be college drop-outs. I just hope the kid goes with his gut...wherever that puts him.
Mabe Nola and Urban can start an anti Tennessee site together....
Keep up the great job UT staff!!!!!!!
There is nothing wrong with change, if it is in the right direction. - Winston Churchill
Maybe he's on the Pitt payroll??
I don't see any evidence suggesting that Tyler is the type to be homesick. JMO, sounds to me like Mama is having problems with her son growing up and leaving home.

Good luck fellas. With Mama so much involved, it may be enough for him to want to get away from home.

I agree to a point, but I believe Mama also has to sign the LOI, so she might have the final say just on that level...
