I'm betting that she is sensing hesitation on your part. Most women still prefer to be the pursued instead of the pursuer (although that majority has shrank considerably in the last few decades).
Overthinking is definitely bad, I've been guilty of it for most of my life. Back in my dating days, I would rehearse phone conversations in my head, preparing retorts to about any comment or reply she would make. It made it seem spontaneous, but I was not really being myself.
Only real problem was that when I did decide to "be myself", I never seemed to get laid. The sleazy side of me could talk the corset off of a nun, but the nice guy me usually got none...

this is great.
Because that worked so well for Anthony Weiner...
I remember that story. How funny.
So, I think we've found the crux of it. Thursday afternoon, she got an unsolicited invite for an interview back in Portland. It seems like she's very stressed about it and doesn't really know if she wants to go interview...so I don't think it's anything to do with me.
Interesting development. Tough spot for her.
Well that's good to know that it wasn't you. Now you can rest at ease. I hope she will stick around and give thing between you all a chance instead of going off to work.
As if we ever suspected that it was. The woman just met the man of her dreams and now something pops up that could interfere with that. Just comfort her and tell her to do what's best for her, knowing full well that the only answer to that is CrockettTM. +1 for update
BUTCH IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. GO VOLS!
She has a great job here. Her parents and two siblings are back there though. I don't know much concerning the job in Portland being a "promotion" of sorts or not. If it's a lateral move, I think she stays.
How far is Portland from Denver, 8-10 hrs?
May have to torch that futon.
We may look back at this one day and say the movie nailed the actual events of Crockett and said girl.
My spider-sense is tingling...
18 hours driving...give or take.
Man that's far. I hope she stays.
Wow. Didn't realize it was that far.
ME or OR?
Hell thought it was a couple hours up the road from Denver. I suck at geography.
