I have been on this site for a while and i was considering getting VIP. What is the benefits of it rather than what non VIP members get to see?
The VIP room on Monday mornings and the articles on the whole site. Plus I can make fun of the Cubs whenever I want... And there's not much Rucker can do about it...
In addition to all of the articles on govols247 — and on every site across the 247Sports network — VIP access allows you to see every VIP post from Wes, me and other 247Sports writers here on the message board. That includes breaking news updates and the VIP Room every Monday morning, which is a ridiculously long, in-depth, state-of-the-union type weekly update on UT sports. You also get to see our answers to the many, many questions we answer here on the board — and, of course, you get to ask us any question you want and know you're going to get a pretty quick response.
If you sign up for an annual subscription, that also saves you about $12 a year and allows you to sign up for our text alerts, which let you know about breaking news without having to be on your computer or mobile phone checking the site. We know you're doing that all the time, anyway, but we also know you can't be on the site every minute of every day, so text alerts are a cool feature.
Those are just a few of the reasons to sign up for VIP access. I'm a bit biased, but I think it's worth it. Hopefully some of our current members would tell you the same thing.

VOLS5050, the VIP room on Mondays and the questions that Wes and Ryan are constantly answering alone are worth the cost. It's like taking your fanhood from level 5 to level 10. Once you're there, you just can't let yourself go back.
"Count it down with me. Five, four, three, two, one.
The national champion is clad in Big Orange!"
One of the down sides to having the text service is that Rucker fires out a text every time the Cubs win. Granted, that's only a few texts but can still get annoying after a while.
That's not our text-alert service. That's Wes' Twitter account, which is totally, totally different and completely separate from what we offer here on the site.
Funny post, though.

Post of the day probably even though it is fabricated and falsified.
Thanks i didn't even know there was a article written on Mondays. My mom gave me a subscription to ESPN for Christmas but i said i wanted 247 instead knowing that there is things that i don't get to see since i am not a VIP member.
Its just like the VIP at the strip bar, you might as well throw your ten 1 dollar bills and make it rain each month
Didn't know about the text alerts. That's cool. Signed up! Thanks
This is beautifully spoken ACV! +1 and you upped RTTT..
