Let's say it is Gruden. When do you think an announcement would happen? In your opinion, who is the fallback option?
Not Wes, but it'd definitely be after the last MNF game which is December 17th, in TENNESSEE!
First, I still think we are a long way from worrying about this .....But, I think from a recruiting standpoint that it would be better to have Gruden hired and let him finish the MNF season including the Dec. 17th game in Nashville. Can you imagine how much additional publicity we would have?? Plus you also have high school recruits watching the coach that called them on Monday morning on TV Monday night breaking down players!!!!
The thought of it actually going down on MNF in Nashville makes me giddy.
I'd hope he announces, then drives up West End, kicks open Franklin's office door, points at him, snarls and then leaves without saying a word.

Vanderbilt would post the press release that Franklin had resigned for reasons unknown the following morning.
My question is: What's the advantage to not announcing it if it happens?
