This seems to be a situation that agents live for. His supposed turning down of the Vols job just drives interest even more in Gruden. Has anyone tried to get comment from his agent?
Call me a conspiracy theorist but if Gruden were done, it would seem to be easy to get a comment from someone, anyone that would have been involved with his recruitment. No?
I don't think anyone with credibility has said he turned it down yet.
The only thing I've heard is he cancelled a meeting. That doesn't automatically equate to turning down the job.
I agree. IMO if he wasn't interested in the UT job, yesterday would have been the perfect time for someone in Gruden's camp or from UT to officially say "Hey we tried, but just couldn't make it work." I think there is still a possibility.
Trample the Weak-Hurdle the Dead
The only thing Gruden denied yesterday was that he didn't receive an offer from UT that PROVIDED PART OWNERSHIP OF THE BROWNS. He didn't deny he received an offer from UT outright. Symantics.
Your team. All the time.
^^^This... He had an opportunity to put it to bed, and didnt. Why? More publicity? Because he didnt want to flat out lie, like saban? Who knows
Best thing to come out of Alabama: I-59 North
"Old School"! A strong defense wins championships!
that's how I heard it also
All i know for me it's Gruden or BUST. after that Strong and maybe Fdora, but neither gets me exited enough to buy season tickets with my tax return for next season.
