My first game was in 2003 against South Carolina. Won the game in OT 23-20. Neyland at night is an awesome sight and experience and in a game that close it was extremely fun for a first timer.
Kiffin game against Cal. Very frustrating performance from Crompton and the offense overall. (younger fan, been to a lot in the years since)
Last year against Georgia.
Got two games slated this year: Georgia State and Mississippi State.
Sorry, but the typo in your headline made me laugh out loud in light of the ongoing thread on stadium experience in which someone said you should never sit down while in Neyland.
My first game in Neyland was, I think, in 1968. It was much smaller -- capacitywise -- in those days. It has been very cool watching it grow and evolve in the years since.
2010 against Florida. Was visiting cousins who have season tickets. And then again against Alabama for a night game. Enjoyed both, but love the night games! Hoping to be back there this year for both. Go Vols!
'98 Sat in G40, and subsequently my friends and I went and sat G40 every game that season no matter what my tix said for good luck. First Year at UT, literally doesn't get any better that for a first game. Was on the field instanly. Never will forget seeing my Chem lab partner that week in class. She got pinned on the fence and was therefore trampled. It was the worst bruising I have ever seen. Strectch is on the mic at the presser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2001 florida game.
FLA game in 90' when Dale Carter returned the 2nd half kickoff for a TD, and we took them behind the woodshed 45 - 3.
hahaha I just realized that. Well I guess it was a perfect time for that typo ... or maybe I should just take credit for a great joke that wasn't a typo ... hmmmm
Tennessee 21 Army 0, 1965. September 18th to open season.
'96 home opener against UNLV. First play of game was bomb from Manning to Dustin Moore. Feel in love with the Vols immediately. Haven't missed first game of the season since (even traveled for Cal). Unfortunately will miss the NC State game this year. I guess all streaks must come to an end eventually.
Vol fan stranded in the middle of a delusional Buckeye Nation
That was my first game as well! I was six years old and I remember it like it was yesterday.
My first (and only) UT game was 1992 vs Florida. I didn't have a chance to see any of the pregame festivities then, which is why I'll be trying to take in everything for the GA State game this year.

Me too - I was thinking that was 1992, but maybe it was 1990???
11/8/1969 Tennessee 29 South Carolina 14. I remember sitting in the bleachers in the north end zone with my dad. I'd give anything to still have him to go to the games with. Lots of great memories of games with him. So, when I think of Tennessee football I always think of dad.

2007 against Arkansas. I was in middle
School and went to a barbecue featuring a nice hog afterwards. A good game to be In Neyland. I've been to at least one game every year since, and plan to make every single one this year as a freshman. Go vols!
Your team. All the time.
My 18 year old son's first game in Neyland was the 1998 Clint Stoerner (Arkansas) game that propelled us to the inaugural BCS Championship.
