I'm gonna go with an 80% chance that he is announced as the next head coach.
What's your gut telling you?
Not asking anybody to join me, and fwiw I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but I do in fact believe its Jon Gruden. I believe this deal has been handled by lawyers and a small circle because of sensitivity on numerous levels. I believe the fans see only a portion of any real story, and that if our general sense is that we need to be rescued from our current state, the people making that decision know it all the more. I believe we can't afford to strike out again, risking our fan base or our fund base. I believe Jon Gruden represents the lowest risk of any major failures.
Notice how many "I believes" I put in there. That's to say these are my opinions, and I'm not trying to sell them to anybody.

Reminds me of the Jeff Foxworthy skit..., I believe....
I agree with ya though, this has been a very awkward coaching search out of the gate. The gate was open after the MSU game, IMO, and I think the deal has been worked behind the curtain since then. and not trying to develop any followers into my camp, either.
Would love to have him, but the chances are slim. 5%
That I need another dose of Miralax to clear my mind.... All kidding aside I give it a 60/40 he does not come...admin stands in the way.
...surely not, the mattress stores will run outta stock if the admin blocks a deal...
My gut says he's coming but I have been saying this for the last month. I just think the deal is done & things have been kept very quiet within a small select group. I think the rainmakers @ TN got this deal done & its getting ready to rain some Gruden on Rocky Top!!
I think if he's coaching next year it is here. I would put the chances of that at about 25%.
I have a hard time establishing a percentage chance of Gruden coming.
I think if the UTAD is willing to pay $5-$6 million per year it's around 75%, but if they aren't then its obviously close to 0%.
And I don't have a clue what the truth is right now.
I don't believe he comes here because I have a hard time believing our AD will pay that kind of money. I can see us paying $2.5 to $3 million a year but those penny pinchers will not pay the $4-5 million/yr to get a big name. I'll have to see it to believe it.
