After Dooley's "It's AD and Chancellor's decision" comments, I'm wondering who Dave Hart has hired before.
Quick glance at his bio shows him inheriting Bobby Bowden and Saban. Will this be his first big-time football hire?
Just looking for any kind of hard evidence on how he makes decisions.
I know he has hired one coach at UT...women's soccer. He was the defending national coach of the year before he came to UT.
As far as I know, if Dooley is let go, this will be his biggest hire by a long shot. His job is on the line with what he does with this situation.
Hart has been around big time programs for many years, and he has great connections across the coaching community, unlike the previous AD, so he knows what a successful program needs and what it's going to take to run one. IMO, he'll make the best hire he possibly can, and hopefully that's good enough.

Didn't he also hire Holly?
"Old School"! A strong defense wins championships!
Good to know. If he'll shoot for the stars with women's soccer, surely he'll do the same for football.
I hope so, too.
at East Carolina he hired Bill Lewis and Steve Logan who didn't do bad over there. Leonard Hamilton was his hire at FSU
Hamilton is a UTM grad.
Worth noting...Dave Hart was the one that advocated Jimbo Fisher as "head coach in waiting" at FSU as well. So in essence, he hired Jimbo at FSU if you think about it.
