Lathers said some defenders could do more, though, and that one of his jobs as a senior and team leader is to make sure that changes.
“Some guys just don’t, you know, watch enough film and put in the time like they need to,” Lathers said. “That’s a big issue for us, and guys just, you know ... aren’t focused when it comes to crunch-time in the game. So, you know, we’ve got to pull guys to the side, talk to ‘em, get ‘em up and, you know, encourage ‘em. That’s what we didn’t do well this game.”
This is interesting. Who is Lathers calling out?
I posted this in the story thread, but anybody got any thoughts on this?
Also interesting that they had two weeks and still didn't watch enough or prepare well enough - at least that's what I'm getting from what HL said. Shows our maturity status I suppose.
Lathers should be calling nobody out he had a terrible game yesterday. I know he's the "senior leader" but he's been one of our problems on defense.
There is a huge difference between missing tackles and making physical mistakes and being unprepared and making mental errors. The first will always happen. The latter is avoidable and unacceptable.
Well I doubt it's AJ.
21 tackles.....my Lord.
Probably not Curt, considering he's playing hurt.
The "watch enough film" comment automatically shoots Bray to the front of my mind, but I'm sure. especially the way our D has been playing, that some defensive players aren't watching an effecient amount of film either.
1 Corinthians 16:13 Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
This is just a nightmare...if a guy wont committ yo the team why us he out there? Makes you question the prigrams leader.
