When after the National Championship you run screaming Rocky Top through a neighborhood in the heart of Buckeye Country. Oh, and you name your first born son Peyton.
Vol fan stranded in the middle of a delusional Buckeye Nation
When you get goosebumps walking up to Neyland stadium.
When you get a permanent UT brand on your body.
When you gripe about how much a damn E.Berry jersey was and then go buy 3 of'em.
When you watch the "Sugar Vols" dvd and still get pissed at the fact that we lost to Florida, despite knowing how the season turns out.

When I remeber the first Vols game I ever watched that I can remeber in full detail. The 2001 Florida game when I was 8 years old. I was so happy I ran around my house screaming and singing rocky top.
When you have to fight back tears cause a loss hurt so bad when you're a kid. Through it all though still wear your orange shirt to school the next Monday to prove to everyone else you're still damn proud to be a vols fan.
Your dog's name is Neyland
When USC fans brag that the 1939 team wasn't so great, because SC beat them in the Rose Bowl, you remind them that George Cafego didn't play.
When you apply for a personal license plate that is Tennessee related and you get a call from the dept of motor vehicles and they tell you that tag is not available because even though its been turned in it has not expired.
You question that if the owner is deceased and it can be proven could you get the tag. When they confirm this is possible, you do your best 007 work and find out the person is in the adjacent county and drive to the register of deeds to find out if the person is still living. The person has unfortunately passed, but you pay less than a buck to get a copy of the death certificate and send it with the tag application to the DMV in Raleigh.
4 weeks pass and you get the tag in the mail with a personal note, that says "I'm glad you got your tag, you must reality be a huge fan"
I was there as it was my senior year at UT. Still have my t-shirt that says " we beat Bama and the Bear sh**"
Great memory and cemented me as a Vol 4 life.
This is one of my all time favorite threads! Keep them coming guys! I love hearing other people are as passionate about the Vols as I am. People I work wth and some of my extended family can not understand how I get each fall. In my life it is God, Family and the Vols! I do get too upset after a loss but then get fired up ready for the next game. Even when we are struggling and going up against a team that is highly ranked I still go into the game thinking we have a fighting chance to pull off the upset. But even in a season like last year I would rather be a Vol than cheer for any other team and win the national title every year. I would also give up my body to run through that T with the crowd going crazy and play one play in that Orange uniform and that T on my helmet no matter if they had to carry me off on a stretcher (which they would have to do with this 46 year old out of shape body). I could really die a happy man to get to do that. If that is wrong then I dont want to be right LOL
When you wish your local weight room in North Carolina randomly had a "I will give my all for Tennessee today" sign
Yea man. Really loving the passion and the great stories that define peoples fanship. Thanks for saying this is one of your all time favorite threads. I'm proud to have started it after reading so many awesome posts. Go Vols!!
When you watch the NBA Finals just to see if you can get a glimpse of your head coach !
when you are born and have 3 generations (both sides of family) of orange blood in your veins
Haha! I was going to say the same thing. The entire trophy presentation I was just watching the crowd for Butch.
One more cause I want to share it.
When it's the night before a game and I can't sleep. I toss and turn before getting on the board and read thread after thread. On game day I can't contain my excitement regardless of how good the chances are of us winning. I always see us pulling an upset. I get so excited and nervous I can barely eat leading up to a game. When Tennesssee is losing I get worked up and angry and a lot of times sad for hours after the game. Just the way I am.
Every night leading up to signing day each year, I sit on the computer in the late hours and watch our recruits film, and see how close we are to building a better class. I love Tennessee football and no matter how many times the Vols break my heart ill be back every Saturday.
I'm the same way! I have to be left alone the rest of the day abd the next day after a loss. I hate to admit it but I broke a clock radio in 97 when we lost to memphis state. I dont care what time the game is or who we are playing I can not eat on game day till the game is over. And the week leading up to the 1st game of the season I listen to RockyTop over and over in the car. That drives my wife crazy!
