Happy Anniversary! Hope you and your wife have a great celebration full of love!! Hope you guys have many more happy years to come.
I wish I could have gone to the midnight release of this tonight....
The big bat's coming for you, Marvel.
Given some of the negative press that has surrounded DKR this week (the movie won't beat the Avengers opening weekend, bad reviews, etc), I feel like I'm the only person NOT surprised that it's outpacing the Avengers. Given how big The Dark Knight was, and how eagerly anticipated this movie has been, I was fully expecting it to at least match The Avengers, if not beat it outright...
It's not in 3D so it may not be able to. I haven't seen it yet, but I can garantee you it's better movie than the Avengers... Nolan is just that good.
Why no updated podcast on TSR this week?
This Braves game is nuts...10 unanswered runs
S-Boogie's been traveling.
Thanks- I had to listen to local radio this week- horrible in rural West Tennessee
What an amazing Braves game. Comeback for the ages.

I hope like heck you're not listening to 96.5 .... That's just train wreck sometimes...

It was decent when that Memphis guy hosted the afternoon show. After he left for the Generals, I have had a hard time staying tuned in to that station.
The guys are so misinformed

This doesn't require its own thread, so I'll just drop it in here.
We're painting the master bedroom and the living room in the new (to us) Rucker Ranch today.
I'll be around, but I might miss a couple of small things and need to catch up tonight.
Again, I'd like to thank y'all for doing nothing to help us with the move. Y'all are the best.

I've learned that sometimes its best just to stay-the-hell out of the way...
If I wasnt 6 hrs away I would gladly help you paint- too bad.
You've really slacked this week. I expect you to bring next week
I'm not sure how you and Ryan have lives, appreciate your guys hard work!
You know if u lived closer, I would have definitely helped. I owe u and Adunc dinner and drinks too! Don't forget that!
What I really need is another back.
Scheuermann's disease sucks. I was born with it. I have a hunched back — I was supposed to be about 6-4, and I'm only 6-1 — and it causes chronic pain that's usually manageable (one Mobic a day) but occasionally very painful (horse tranquilizer pills that make me higher than Cheech and Chong). It's been acting a fool the past two weeks with all the moving and everything, and it's about to completely give out for a while.
I worry that I'm getting really close to the 15-day DL.
Funniest part of my Scheuermann's disease was the horrified apology I got from my mom.
I was like 14. My mom for years had told me to stand up and sit up straight "like a man", and I always told her I was. She never believed me. I kept pulling my hamstrings and quads during spring football practice, and eventually it got so bad that I went to the doctor. He wanted to X-Ray my back, and I had no idea why. It turns out that I have Scheuermann's disease, and that it not only causes a Hunchback of Notre Dame look, but it causes a problem with the way the muscles near the middle of my body sit, and that it caused constant hamstring and quad pulls or slight tears. They recommended I stop playing football unless I loved it, and baseball was my favorite sport anyway, so I just started playing baseball three seasons a year instead of two. Still had to go to an orthopedic clinic and get stretched out once every couple of weeks my senior year, and it's one of the main reasons I didn't go play ball in college. The maintenance was just gonna get worse, probably. (And I didn't want to diet, workout every day at 6 a.m. and give up part of my social life.)
My mom — who, by the way, is THE DEAN OF HEALTH PROGRAMS AT A COLLEGE — was the most apologetic I've ever seen her. I was right. I was sitting as straight as I could.
THE LESSON: If your kid says for years that he's trying to sit up straight and his back gets sore sometimes, take him to the doctor. Your kid might be right.
