wes/ryan/kevin: will we have any open hoops practices

  • on a saturday that we have a home football game? i know they have an open practice today (friday), but was wondering if coach martin would have an open practice on a home football game saturday like coach pearl & summit used to do? that was always a lot of fun to get to watch both teams practice then go to neyland stadium. thanks

  • This is one for Wes. Not sure how Martin has decided to handle access, etc.

    Your team. All the time.

Today's is open to the public.

    Saturday's is not.

    Here's the info from UT.

Media may attend a pair of Tennessee men’s basketball practices this weekend. Friday’s practice—the first official team practice of the preseason—runs from 5-7 p.m. in Thompson-Boling Arena. Saturday’s practice, which runs from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in Pratt Pavilion, is open to the media as well.

Members of the general public also are welcome to attend Friday’s practice. Fans are asked to park in the G-10 parking garage and enter the arena through the northeast gates (near the pedestrian bridge to G-10), which will open at 4:30 p.m. Fans are also asked to observe practice from the north side of the court in sections 103-107.

Martin and the Tennessee players will be available for autographs behind the west basket for 30 minutes following the conclusion of Friday’s practice.
