That have been putting staffs together?
Ask me again in three or four years.
Cincy's staff looks pretty good. I like Arkansas' staff as well. I agree with Bris, however, we will not know for a couple of years.
Would like to have Ellis Johnson
Formally known as govols011 - follow me on twitter @C_Dillard6
I like a lot of things about this staff, but am so unsure about others. As much as it kills me to say it, I liked Kiff's staff. But I like BJ worlds better. Ah, I just don't know yet.
guys i think we are on the right track...we should have a decent year next year..but i can see this staff landing those 4& 5 stars..time will tell..we have been burnt the last 4-5 years and its easy to be a non believer..but im excited..now i can say we want be the stomping door in the sec..that dooley said sec days...you can bank on that..
No. I like arkys staff much more.
Arkansas has put together the best staff this year. I like Butch & Co., but the Hogs have hit some homeruns.
Not so crazy about Hogs staff. I may be wrong, but I think it is a bit over rated. Pittman is an obvious solid hire. Just like us, we will have to see. May be home run staff, may not. GBO!
Just because a staff looks good on paper doesn't guarantee success. I'd have to wait at least until after the 2014 season to determine which new staff is the best.
I second that opinion.
I agree, I think how they work together as a team is just as important. We haven't had staff cohesion since before phil left. JMO, but time will tell. I'm behind 'em!! GBO

Hate to say it, but I would take Arky's staff, too.
IMO it's way too early to tell. There is so many unknowns with most of this new staff. We never know they could be a big surprise to us all. In a good way I hope...
Man, I'm really trying to be excited about this staff (including Jones) but the truth is I'm not. I haven't been this down on UT football in my life and that includes the first 18 years of my life when I was raised a ND fan. I haven't seen an ounce of proof that the guys can go into a home and pull a kid from the likes of Saban, Muschamp, Miles, Richt, Spurrier, et. al. The only new offers we are hearing about are a bunch of three stars no one has ever heard of. Honestly, it's hard for me to believe we aren't headed for another three years of 6-6 seasons. I'm very sorry to feel this way, I just don't think Jones gets it done in the SEC.
Ask the same question after NSD 2014.
I am very skeptical of our staff. Particularly our DC. We'll see...
The one thing that I like about this staff is the fact they are all young for the most part and have the possibility to stay together for a long time. Most of them have SEC experience, and have decent to great reputations in recruiting circles. People need to realize that when Phil Fulmer put his first staff together, it was comprised of lesser known coaches at the time. Vol fans knew Chavis and Cutcliffe, because of their previous ties with UT or working with Majors. I am a firm believer that a winner wins no matter what level he is in. After all Tressel won at OSU coming from Youngstown St. I think Cincinnati is a little bit higher level ball than YSU. Lets just give them a chance and I think we will all be satisfied in the end.
I think one benefit of our staff is that the OC and DC already know the "system" since they've worked with CBJ before. That way, they come in on the same page and can start teaching it to other staff and players. IMO this will give us a headstart over a staff of coaches from a hodge podge of places.
But, in the long run, as many of you have already said, it will boil down to recruiting good players and winning some games.
I feel the same way. If you are an elite defensive player, are you really saying no to Chavis, Saban/Smart, Granthem, Muschamp/Quinn to play for John Jancek?
