Corn Elder commits to "The U"

Lost another in-state prospect today. Great multi-sport athlete who was probably promised he could play both football and basketball. He states Miami has always been his favorite team since he was a (younger) kid.
Oh well. I say we clean-up in recruiting next year!

we didn't lose him. We didn't pursue him. Good kid, but SEC talent? Not so sure.

Did we even offer him a scholarship? I didn't see it on the player database page. I would have liked to have him for both football and basketball because he can play football at the SEC level and could have served as a backup PG at least on the hoops team.

I know we didn't for basketball and I don't think we did on football either. CCM saw him play a couple of weeks ago but never offered.

How could he not be SEC quality? He ran through the best defenses of the Tenn private schools as Baylor, McCallie, Brentwood Academy, and the rest of D2. The Vols sure could have used his talents.

Look at the teams that ended up pursuing him hard. If he was such a "can't miss" talent, there would have been a lot more calling. Also, he is more of a DB at the next level, not RB.
Good luck to the kid. Since we will never play him I hope he tears it up.
