To be perfectly honest...
I was thinking this EXACT thing during his press conference. Even semi-looks like the guy.
Lets hope he is, minus the NCAA infractions and whatnot.

He has the same type of track record as Cuonzo Martin where NCAA infractions are concerned - nonexistent.

He reminds me of Pearl in the way that he is very intense and energetic. UT is the type of job he has dreamed of. Big program, great history and tradition, state of the art facilities and a massive fanbase. Pearl was a no-brainer type of hire. Jones will have to earn his respect with a good portion of the fans but he has what it takes in my opinion. I am very excited to see his teams in the future. I don't expect a great year next year but in the long run it will work out great.

As amazing as the situation is, UT Football needs a marketer. I was equally shocked and impressed to see him pound the podium asking for people to buy season tix. Hart may have briefed him on where things stand.
