Say Kentucky went Big (which is doubtful) and hired Bobby Petrino or another big name, could that effect Dooley here... It wouldn't look good if Kentucky the doormat of the league was making a push to become relevant in the league, and we stood status quo w/ statistically the worst HC in the SEC. I think if Kentucky hires a big name it would force our hand a little bit. JMO, I have no reason to believe it would happen but people would be pretty pissed around here if this did happen.

You make a good point that Kentucky is a very likely landing spot for Petrino. They prove with Calipari that ethical shortcomings aren't really aren't an issue for them. They also experiened Petrino up close and personal during his days at Louisville.
Impact on us if it happens? Minimal at best. It would take Petrino years to rebuild Kentucky into a contender. Rich Brooks did a decent job in his day, but Joker ran it into a ditch. By the time a Petrino team could be a threat, we'll either be riding high or looking for our fifth head coach in less than a decade.
