Hart's lifelong ambition has been to run an enormous athletic department, and do it well. Thus far, he hasn't. That's not because he's running a secret agent mission to destroy Tennessee. It's because he isn't good at doing searches for football coaches by himself. (See his previous experience in doing so).

The money crowd is about to take this thing over and we will get a great coach. Mal Moore is an Alabama man, through and trough. He got spurned by RichRod (Moore's pick) and had his donors' prime target stand at a podium and proclaim that he would not be the coach at Alabama. Two (maybe, three) national titles later, how has that worked out?

Mal's not real bright. Hart's not real bright. The guys who collectively made billions of dollars - and sign the checks - are bright. Who do you think picks the coach?

Ohio State fans would go bat-$hit if their athletic department was run by Michigan guy. Fact.

I agree.

People need to get it through their skulls that PROFESSIONALS ARE NOT FANS.

They don't wear school colors. They don't have stickers on their cars. They don't wave flags.

They work for the schools that hire them. Any allegiance they may once have had has been left at the door. Their allegiance is to the people who sign the paychecks.

Why is that so hard to understand?
