I think his next few projects are to improve where athletes spend the majority of their time. Living quarters being #1. UT is way behind other schools there.

The jury is still out on Hart. He seems to be trying to address UTs issues but then we hear rumors about CP still and I was not crazy on how the coaching search played out in the media from a PR standpoint. His PC jokes also were a total failure when announcing Jones and after Jones spoke saying "now you get to go to Oregon, Bama and FL next year" and laughing. That is just not what your AD should be saying if he is at UT. I was not a fan how he did not support Dooley publicly a year ago and threw fuel on the fire prior to NSD. IMO you support your HC til you are ready to fire him for the good of the program. Hart made him more of a hotseat with his comments for the entire 2012 year.

He has at least said he has a plan to get the academic side and athletic side working together. Not sure if it is a real plan or just PR talk. He did get the AD to stop donating $6 mil a year for 3 years. He did give a good PC prior to the search.

IF Jones is successful in 3 years or so......Hart will be successful IMO........then how long will he be here with his age is another ?

With all due respect, you are missing the point.

Since the Great Smash-And-Grab of 2002/03, the UTK faculty senate has essentially owned the athletic department. The AD does not so much "send" UTK money, as UTK takes "its money" from "its piggy bank" - also known as the athletic department. This is why there is nothing left of the reserves when we we the richest AD in the SEC 10 years ago. UTK charges the AD whatever it wants for scholarships, parking and so on; then they take whatever is left.

Imagine taking on Tony Sprano as a partner in your restaurant.
