Decommits are coming. Stay calm.

I hope we don't have the usual meltdown and thrashing about when some of our recruits decommit once the new staff is announced. Just like we will likely attract some new recruits with this staff, some of the recruits who committed more to their position coach than to the school will surely start to look elsewhere when that coach is let go. It's just how things go when a new staff takes over so let's be ready for it. It's also a real possibility that Jones will not honor all of the offers that were made by Dooley's staff. We'll get some bad publicity if that happens but again, that is part of the business.
For me, they key isn't who decommits or has their offer pulled but who the staff gets to replace them. It's very late in the process to get started but there is still some good talent out there that is available or can be made to switch schools. Hopefully we can pull in a couple of highly rated guys and then fill in the rest of the class with solid 3 star guys who fit our schemes.

JRM, Campbell, and Carr are the three he needs to keep... I don't think Jones needs to burn the bridge in his own backyard with the two there. Sanders... He's been committed forever. The Saunders kid may be a keeper too... after that... Flush and rinse

He's said all along that he would stick as long as Hinshaw stayed. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Seems like he told Keith or someone he was solid. He would be a fit also in the offense. I believe his high school runs the shotgun spread also.

Sanders is as solid a commitment as they come. He is Tn through & through. He's been on campus more than Bray & Patterson since school started...

If we don't keep Staley as a GA I wold guess Campbell and Bradley are gone. OTOH, I tink we will have a shot at a lot of highly ranked kids that we had no chance at with the previous staff. I think Leavenberry is a good example of that.

Yea, it's not like we several 4 & 5*'s that are going to jump ship because of the coaching change! Not that DD did a bad job of recruiting, but, when pretty much all you have are 2 & 3* players on ur recruiting board it's not extremely hard to replace them. It's just a matter of coaching up the players we get!!!
Which,, obviously DD could not do!

Ok this is my first post here and i have to comment on this. Dooley was put on the hot seat right after the first year and the media and the fans kept him there, so how was he going to get big time players here when a coach is on the hot seat? No player wants to come play for a coach when they don't know when or if he will get fired. Then you have the fans getting on these boards running down the current players and staff, so tell me why would any big time player want to come here?
