I doubt they're anymore displeased than the fans are, without proper coaching, this is what they're going to get. If I was Sal, I would pull a Bray and avoid the media if at all possible.

I'm just amazed at how many people are upset and surprised about today's defensive performance.

It's a question of extent and degree of the "badness". We all knew this defense was bad. No one in their right mind expected real improvement during the rest of the season. BUT there's stinking, and then there's historical and legendary stinking. We expected the former, not the latter.

Can you honestly tell us you predicted that Troy would, by a wide margin, gain more yards on a UT defense than anyone, ever? Did you think it likely that Troy would be "in it w/a chance to win it" with several minutes remaining? Did you think their offense would do better against us than Bama's?

If so, please take me to Vegas with you. I'd like to make a few friendly wagers with your help.

Saban is probably twiddling his thumbs in his office chair every sat night with a big grin thinkin about how lucky he is that Dooley took Sunseri off his hands so he wouldn't be obligated to make him the DC after Smart leaves for a HC gig. He's gotta see our performance every week and is pleased that he got to keep the good Sunseri l

The coaching staff needs to print out a graph that tracks defensive yards given up and keep it current. The players and coaches need a visual picture of the futility of their performance from week to week. It also needs to be a reverse graph with the 721 yards given at the bottom. Graphs can be motivating showing failure and trends and urges one to improve the picture individually and as a unit. It will also put Sunseri on the target. T

How are or defensive players still not getting the calls? How is that possible?
