  • Once Tennessee rolls Georgia this year he will flip...mark my word...

  • can't really argue that wataugavol.

But as for UT rolling Georgia..that I can argue. Sure Bray is good and your receiving corp is talented as well but an offense that isn't balanced against our defense is in for a long day. We have the secondary to cover your receivers and and the front 7 to get after Bray. Add the fact that the game is between the hedges and saying you are going to "roll" us is foolish. Not saying you guys won't have a good team and I think UT is a team who could surprise a lot of people this year, but you won't roll us in our own place.

  • assuming your entire secondary doesn't end up in the pen again by our game...

If UGA wins it won't be because it's in Athens. A nice and fun gameday environment...intimidating? nope. And I know any UGA fan will probably come back with how the game went 2 years ago, but that had nothing to do with the crowd and everything to do with UT's lack of execution.

  • Can't we all be friends? In my thread? Please? After all, don't we all hate Bama? And Wes Rucker?

  • not trying to cause a stir, but when we whippe you two years ago and shut down your super star quarterback last year, saying you are going to whip us and then flip our committed running back is a bit presumptuous. I'm not goingto disrespect your team on you board, I enjoy posting here because of the civil conversation but I will defend my team. Georgia is most likely going to be favored in that game for a few reasons.

And saying our players are going to all be in the pen? Those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, yo guys have had your share of issues too. Yeah we had a few guys smoke some weed, big deal. We have one of, if not the toughest stance on drugs in the NCAA.

Ummmm.... How many times has the game had a close score vs the other team getting rolled? Lots of blow outs have happened in the series so it's not a stretch that one team wouldn't get rolled. It's happened plenty before.

I'll be your friend for a quarter. Waiting...

But yes I hate Bama, along with UF, USCe, The Barn, Arkansas, and now Vanderbilt. But I just can't hate on Wes Rucker, just can't do it. I mean he says stuff that makes you hate him and wonder if his is a total dumb a$$, but he does it in an admirable way. Good ole Wes, even to like him, it requires a little hate.

  • If all is healthy we will posses 4 6'3 and bigger Wr's with only one weighing under 200 pounds which is the most electric player on the field at 80%....against a team who moved there best offensive WR last year and put him at corner because of lack of bodies..With a intact o-line

Doubt very seriously anyone has the secondary to cover the vol receivers if bray comes to play this year maybe uga has good front 7 but if Patterson lives up to hype there is NO secondary ready for that and yes there's a few "ifs" in there tho

  • Committed athletes visit other schools often - it's part of the game.
At any rate - feel he will be a DAWG.

Hey - rooting for D. Dooley to take down the Gators this year. The guy took on a train wreck - be interesting to see how much the Vols improve this year and next.

    Sir Barks A Lot

  • And I doubt many folks fear UGA this year they were gifted with a weak schedule last year only decent win being Florida on a down year, IMO

    Matt_O5

  • Vols passing game will be a challenge - and expect the Georgia / Tennessee game to be very competitive this year. Could be a shoot out - but I think UGA's defense will be the difference. Tennessee's switch to a 3/4 will be frustrating to Vol fans ...... as it was to Alabama in Sabans first year - and the first year Grantham installed it at UGA.

    Sir Barks A Lot

  • Can't argue with you Fully4Dooley - in fact, we have not done anything to earn any natonal respect the last three years. But these things go in cycles and I think UGA is on the upswing. 2012 will be an interesting year for UGA to say the least ...... as well for Tennessee.

However, it's not UGA's fault when the schedule falls this way. Funny, I do not hear anyone giving UGA pity when the schedule turns and we play all the hard teams in the same year.

    Sir Barks A Lot

  • I am not saying that we should be feared or that we are this mighty team. We have a long way to go if anyone does have the secondary to cover your wr's it is UGA. An All American at Safety, three other returning starters and a new comer to the secondary in Mitchell who was the #1 DB coming out of HS two years ago and by the reports from spring practice could very well be the best true corner on out team. Not to mention the fact that we have the best pass rusher in the SEC in Jarvis Jones and two beasts up the middle in John Jenkins and Kwame Geathers who are going to make things very tough on Bray, the same guy who really struggled against us last year. I was not trying to make the point that the game is by any means a guaranteed win for Georgia or anything like that, just that I expecting to roll a team that has handled you two years in a row is pretty far out there. I fully expect a dog fight against y'all, I have been on this board quite a bit and have nothing but respect for Dooley, your program and the posters on this site, Wes and Ryan included of course.

One question though, is your TE back? I forgot his name but the guy is an animal. He can freaking play.

All 3 are back. It's almost as strong a position as WR assuming Hunter returns to pre injury form and Patterson really ends up being the second coming of Jesus.

Lets talk football...Georgia is always stacked with 5 star defenders on defense but they turn out to be mid round picks at best lately...Its not a stretch to say Murray is capable of throwing multiple picks in big games...I cant name a single WR on your roster except Marlon Brown and thats because im from Memphis...and we all know the story on him...Your main back isn't durable..Marshall is a small back in a big mans league...Rome is a beast but i think we r use to georgia having a stud at TE...U limited bray last year bcuz we had 1 reliable target...In come this summer is a 6'3 beast a 6'5 beast from the peach state another guy who is built like a tail back and a spark plug from florida who is very electric..Yes our TE is back and his back up is 6'6 280 pounds and can move..So i think not just Georgia but any team in the country will have a hard time matching up....I give u credit though Sheldon Dawson is a stud..hate we missed out on him..

I think Mychal Rivera is a senior. Downs and Cam Clear are both true sophomores. Rivera has sister that also stars on Glee. She's not bad looking at all either...

I agree...last season we had no running game and one reliable receiver..barring injuries we will have receivers all over the place...we will need the running game to be sufficient enough to keep defenses honest..hopefully, the run game will be alot better..if thats the case with a decent run games, the TEs and receivers teams will have a hard time matching up and stopping the offense..we shall see how the defense handles the "switch". I have faith that Coach Sunseri will put the defense in positions to succeed and not stubbornly run a certain defense in hopes it will work eventually..

Can't get the ball to those beast's when you are laying on your back the whole game. Our defense will be top 5 again this year. Everyone will be back by the time we reach UT and ready to lay some wood on your Beast's. As far as anyone else being in trouble again at least our guys aren't running around and holding gas stations up. I don't see the game being close this year. Blowed ya'll out 2 years ago at home and beat you at your house last year. Final score UT-17 UGA-45 and then D.Henry says "Thanks but no thanks UT it's been real, it's been fun but it ain't been real fun" Peace.
