Sad to say....but, overall it's a No. I think he will redeem himself in the next couple years though.

As for the Kentucky loss....all good things come to an end. It was going to happen sooner or later. Look at it this way....It's better that it happened now, than when we actually have a great team again and it's a huge upset.

Can't give you a short answer, but I'll say that the seasons outcome is slightly below what most experts predicted. For me I've been disappointed in the offense and pleasantly surprised in the defense( minus the Arky game). Next year is the pivotal year for the entire staff. 8+ wins and Dooley is safe, 6 wins or less and he is in trouble, 7 wins and I still think he would feel some heat. Again IMHO.

Yes for one reason. No matter how many things went wrong this team didn't quit. You can't judge a season on 1 game. That and a top 10 recruiting class which is also part of his job. Also no off field incidents. There are a lot of things at this point to consider when judging Dooley. In 2 years it will be much simpler. In 2 years anything less than 8 wins year in and out, no matter the circumstances, will get a failing grade.

Inconclusive. To answer just yes or no to this question is to make too much of a snap judgment. Too many things almost completely out of his control — injuries, Jackson's dismissal, etc. — went wrong this year to judge all that accurately how well he did.

Obviously, the results weren't great, but there were reasons for that. We'll be in a better position to say how well he does next season.

With the stacked deck he inherited, it's hard to say conclusively. There was definite regression in some areas that never seemed to show any sign of iprovement. We will have a much clearer picture next year. The fact is this team don't know how to compete. I believe there is something in our history regarding when the breaks don't go your way. Coaches need to drill this point to the players this offseason.

That all being said, I am not optimistic with what I've seen out of this staff. And with that said, I hope they prove me completely wrong and we see marked improvement.

No. I said this on another board we hired Dooley to Win games did he do that this year? No. That doesn't mean I want to fire the guy, but he didn't live up to the expectations that I have for him as a coach. So hopefully next year he will.
