Rod, I disagree, but that's because I think that Dooley came into a bad situation. Its not because, I think he's going to turn it around. He may just be snake bitten. I'm not really sure what's going to happen in two years. Does anyone know the length of his contract? I think he deserves the length of his contract.
I agree, the school would look bad if it fired Dooley next year.
Dooley won't be fired next year just for not winning the East. He is recruiting well. We are making progress; it's just hard to see it right now with our injuries, lack of depth, strength of schedule. We are headed back to where we need to be but like Peyton said on CBS today, it's going to take time.
"Count it down with me. Five, four, three, two, one.
The national champion is clad in Big Orange!"
I understand that people are disappointed but who really thought the game was going to be a different outcome? next week is going to be the same. The funny thing is we vol fans deep down know what's going to happen but when it does we get a little upset, and that is just because we love the program and want to see it be great again, and it will come again we just have to be patient and build depth. Our offense is thin because we have no solid depth. I know it sounds like we've been hearing that for years but it really is the case. So just hang in there guys better days are coming. GO VOLS!!!!
WITH ALL THAT TALENT THAT DOOLEY WAS LEFT WITH THE OTHER COACHES RECRUITING CLASSES HOW CAN HE NOT WIN A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP NEXT YEAR TOO? IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dooley ought to have at least 2 more years after this one. He inherited a disaster, saved the recruiting class Kiffin walked out on (and then tried to pillage as he left), and had a top 10 recruiting class last year. We don't have the talent to recruit from that some other states do (Florida, Texas, Louisiana, Georgia), which makes his job even harder. I also agree with the earlier post asking who could we get to come to UT to replace Dooley: no one wanted the job after Kiffin left. There aren't many Saban's out there. Ditching Dooley might well mean getting somebody worse. I like Dooley, and hope he can, in time, get us back in the upper tier of the SEC.
