New coach may change his mind, depending. Meanwhile, I hope he's not dumb enough to take something of significant value from an agent pending a projection on his draft status, or he's stuck going to the draft, regardless.

Good for him, He will probably make more in his first year in the league than I made in the 7 years since graduating college

No, its a different world now with the cap and slotted rookie salaries. The NFL draft is now like the NBA draft. The money difference isn't that great between rounds anymore. The key is to get through your first contract so that you can get to the FA money. That will lead to a lot of kids coming out earlier than they may have done with the old system. I don't blame JJ. He probably won't improve his draft position that much by staying a year (especially with a potentially new offense) and so he might as well get started on earning FA money.

Right tackles get paid a lot more in the NFL than in college, plus it's not like we are moving him to LT next year.
