There are some players on this team who's NFL stock for next year is plummeting. I just wonder if that is possibly getting into some of their heads and affecting performance. That makes for a ficious cycle.

Hopefully these individuals will be realistic and see the same as you. Then maybe they will play up to their potential and perform as we all thought and hoped they would

  • There is no question that Bray gives the Team its best chance to win. Anyone seeing Morely last season should feel the same way. IMO, Dooley is messing with the offense which was going pretty well until recently. One cannot question the offense against Georgia and MSST which are two pretty good teams but failed to show against BAMA. Could it be that Coach Dooley was also too shaken playing BAMA which was reflected on the staff and the team. Talking about Bray making bad decisions, he is just following the example of his coach who is making a lot of bad decisions, as well. Does anyone believe coach Saban would announced to the public that if his quarter did not improve in certain areas he would be benched? What was the purpose of that public announcement? Dooley is putting to much pressure on the player, perhaps talking when he should be out there coaching and encouraging the guys. This is not a case that one has to put before the jury(Fans) for a decions. Just go out on the field and show us.

Since you didn't hit the quote button or reference with whom you were agreeing, I will arrogantly assume it was me and move along...

I agree to an extent, but take Palardy for example. He got benched, and ever since he reclaimed his starting spot he has kicked the ball better than anytime during his college career. Am I saying bench Bray ? No. But just putting it out there and letting Bray know that he (Dooley) is serious about possibly benching him could possibly have the same effect.

Nice work, Wes. I believe in Justin Worley. Seems like he has more poise about him than Bray and that he WANTS to win. I prefer that over big statistics. I want to see what Worley can do with this offense. I believe in him.

    +1...welcome to the family

This is JMO, but I think what we've seen from Bray actually makes some sense.

I think this is the most he's ever put into being a QB on and off the field, and I think he's putting a lot more pressure on himself — certainly the most he's put on himself since he's been at UT — and he's struggling to adjust to the disappointment that comes when you put so much into something and come up short.

He made a lot of mistakes but also made a lot of plays when he didn't think about those kinds of things. Now he's starting to care more — he's still got plenty of growing up to do, but he has made plenty of off-the-field progress — and it's affecting him. That's why he didn't talk to reporters after the game, IMO. Not excusing it. It's not OK. But I think he better understands now that it's not OK.

I think it's a good sign that he cares. I think he just has to get through this period and continue progressing, and I think he'll be fine. I think he has the talent to be really special. It's a shame he didn't care as much in the past, but you can't do anything about that now. You can only deal in the present and work for the future.

I just can't see giving up on someone with his age and his ability.

I agree with what if saying there wes. The only problem is a quarterback has to be able to thrive in an environment where they are expected to place that much pressure on themselves. It's more of a mental capacity to be a quarterback that separates the good from the great. A good example of nfl draftees; peyton manning...Ryan leaf. A psychological profile used to be done on potential nfl quarterbacks and I'm sure it still is telling their psychological tendencies during times of increased stress. A good example is Carson palmer. Before he went pro they learned when he gets stressed he has a tendency to develop tunnel vision which would cause him not to read the field as well. Therefore throwing more picks.

  • Is Jim Bob Cooter still on the bench? I heard he's somewhere between the Gatorade coolers and the stationary bikes.

    Put him on the field.
