    Georgia (Samuel) - 15 carries, 53 yards

  • What about our rushing stats the rest of the year. UGA, S.Car, come on man stop getting all excited over 1 game. We are a soft team up front, something should be done in the offseason.

    It should also be noted that we were physical against Arkansas in our most recenct game prior to Vanderbilt.

    I know we've struggled to run the ball throughout much of this season. The production on the ground in many of our games has been almost unacceptable but we've improved in each of our past two games. I think it's finally "clicked" for our young OL. They seem to be playing fast-instinctual-physical football right now.. and as long as they are improving, I don't think it's fair to criticize our coaches for their performance.

    That's fair there has been improvement but against 2 average at best defenses. It will be interesting to see how successful we run out of the pistol again this week, because there were holes.

He said that they were making their blocks and reads the moment the ball was snapped, and that he was "excited" about seeing that. That's been what has held back the OL in the running game, - the players thinking too much instead of just reacting and engaging the DL. If the OL can keep that momentum heading into UK and (hopefully) a bowl game, then the offense looks to be in very good shape for next year.

    I think Bray energized everyone to some degree or another. I'd like your thoughts on this. Have we used the pistol any before the Vandy game? The run game has been pitiful all year. Why didn't someone (Chaney) try it early in the year just to see how we did? I mean all the coaches were moaning about the run game, and trying to figure out what to do. Obviously, the pistol was known to the coaches. If it's and buts, were but candies and nuts...... I realize this, but if you're going to try different things to fix a major problem, why didn't we at least look at it. If they did, I apologize, but this is the first game I've even heard the pistol mentioned all year.
