I'm not sure that Tennessee has had a QB with Peterman's physique so early in their career a long time? Crompton had good size as a Frosh but I'm not sure he was put together like Peterman? Peterman looks like a redshirt junior in the pic above.

Yea, I'm still bitter over Crompton. I thought for sure the reason they are changing the turf at Neyland was because of his "worm burners". They had to take their toll on nice grass.

Dooley and company have been impressive in their ability to evaluate talent. He promised us when he got here that he was going to build this program with high character guys. The foundation is solid. Here we go. GO VOLS!

Crompton was a horrible QB until the last 5 or 6 games of his senior year. This is one of the very few credits I give to kiffin. They done a nice job with him and fixed whatever his problems were. I bet Crompton is happy that they did to.

I don't understand the comment "UT got a steal" when they signed Peterman. Are they referring to the fact that he was only rated a 3 star when he committed? I mean, "a steal" implies that you got more than you paid for. I think our coaches knew all along how good he was, therefore, I don't think there have been any surprises.
Regardless of what you call it, I'm glad he's a VFL! I think he will be a great QB for us.

I think Crompton would have been a lot better if he would have had someone to coach him up. Dave Clawson was the downfall of Crompton, he grew as a quarterback when Reeves, Chaney & Kiffen got to work with him.
