  • As most likely the only person on this board who is a UT and FSU alum, I'll jump in.

    Every player who commits to FSU is a player who commits to taking the easy way out. A player who doesn't want to play bama, uga, usce, etc etc. As a result, any player who would bother committing there is a player UT doesn't need.

    The Seminole are a team that has been good for stretches of time. Yes, we get that. They are also a team that has sucked immensely for stretches of time.

    The same thing that I just said above is also true for the Vols. Although probably a little more of the "good" stretches for us as we do have more conference championships, more national championships, and a higher win percentage and more total wins than the 'Noles.

    So both teams, just as in every other team in the history of sports, has seen its ups and downs. FSU's downs are a bit more inexcusable if you look at it through neutral color glasses though as your conference schedule looks like a walk through a playground.

    In the end both teams are going to be National Champions and Conference Champions again. And both teams are going to suck hard core again. Right now it's our cycle. You can't beat history. It repeats itself.

    FSU hasn't been playing football nearly as long as Tennessee. That's a big reason why you have more total wins. Since Bobby Bowden took over, FSU is one of the best programs as far as winning in college football. The only program to finish in the top five for fourteen straight years. I'm not sure who said it earlier about no one from FSU having good careers in the NFL, but if you know anything about football then you know that's a dumb statement. I agree both have had highs and both have had lows, but FSU has still made bowl games for thirty-one straight years. Whether you say it's because of a weak conference or not, it's still impressive. Also the ACC hasn't always been as bad as it is now. We didn't join the ACC until 1992 anyways so that's twenty-one of the thirty-one bowls. Either way, both are historically good programs, and it's easy to say FSU is by far the better program as of now

    You have to love vol fans every year around this time. Every year y'all think you are flipping one of our players, and it fails every time.

    And Nole fans think they're gonna win the NC every year, only to lose a couple in their joke of a conference, AND always lose to the Gators. Never fails.
