I'll add that while I don't necessarily agree, or want it to happen, there are doomsday scenraios where I could see this year ending badly for Dooley. Just the nature of the biz

I agree, 8+ is what I'm hoping for, and I think that keeps everyone safe and happy.

I think we will go 8-4 (maybe 9-3 and be in a tie for 1st in the east).... but if we have some bad injuries, we could end up 6-6 or 5-7..... Still have a lot of youth and limited depth.... But the talent is there, I'm convinced.....

I'm also convinced that things are going to start going our way again..... Lady luck has been S******** all over us for a while, and that isn't going to last forever..... This is the year we turn the corner, and I'm sticking with that story until proven otherwise this fall.....

I'm not concerned with the opinion of a reporter that has never seen this team practice.... Most of these national guys have very limited knowledge of the teams they are writing about and they are by no means an "expert" on any team..... People like Mehsel, Sclabath, Finebaum, Bill King, etc... have very limited knowledge of Tennessee and are watching from the distance.... Any and all information they have is second-hand knowledge....They have never seen this team practice and they don't interview our coaches and players.... Because of that, there is no way they can accurately depict the state of tennessee football.....

They are also focusing on the kentucky game and the 5-7 record..... Their opinions aren't based on the bad injuries we had last year and the 19 young-but now experienced-and talented starters we have returning....

I've gotten to the point where I don't care what these people think and I'm looking forward to the season.... Go Vols!!!!!!

There are numerous good things about our schedule this year to our advantage like Fl play A&M prior to us......still we have to be healthy, get better, play fast, and compete when things are tough.

Nah. Author opinion. No basis for Dooley firing other than "restless fanbase and new AD". Pretty weak.
