I don't have any sources, but I think it is Petrino if we are in fact at that stage. I just don't think we would be talking to an active coach this early. I don't know. It could be Fulmer using this logic.

IMO, there is absolutely no way we are talking contracts with a coach who is active right now for a few reasons.
1) There is no way that everyone on both ends would be silent
2) I'm pretty sure you have to have permission from their employer and then through the school, it would get out
3) That's unethical and I don't think Hart would do that

IMO, IF, a big if, they're in negotiations, then
1). Dooley lied and has been told he won't be back. You don't negotiate with a coach when you still have a coach.
2). The coach they're negotiating with is currently unemployed.

So. IMO if we aren't talking to an active coach it has time be petrino, gruden, or Phillip fulmer.. I would kick and scream for years if it's petrino and the gruden thing seems to be picking up tons of steam on TOS

Just doesnt make much sense. However he's been dead on about Tennessee not firing Dooley till after the season.

Could it be Jim Tressel? Was a big article in Columbus Dispatch about how he could easily get out of his 5 game suspension.

Could be negotiating with Gruden as well IF true but the chances of this being true are in the same category as the Randy Shannon rumors 3 years ago.

I would think Tressel would be the most likely candidate.
