Excuse-free Stokes focusing forward

Jarnell Stokes has never made excuses for himself, and UT's freshman forward hopes no one will make any for him in the future. In his mind, he's no longer a high school kid.

  • He's alot of fun to watch. If he'll get in there this summer and work no telling how great he'll be. I've ran them down because of lack of hustling but I know that next year will be a good one. They all are saying they're going to work hard this summer. This was a great article Wes. Thanks alot

Great story Wes! The kid has never been anything but honest and up front since he arrived. I'm looking forward to seeing the improvement next year with an off season to workout and prepare and more time for Stokes and Maymon to gell. I think they can be a force inside next year!

  • anybody think at this point Stokes will exit to play in the NBA after next year ? i know thats a possibility of course but to me he would really have to take his game to a whole different level to be a top draft pick after next year and its sure a catch 22 deal as i would love to have the kid hang out in the program for at least another couple of years . Saw where Duke's Rivers is leaving for the NBA and i cant believe the kid is going to be a top pick in this years draft - he just didnt seem to be that great of a player
