Great player and great representative of the school. Good to see Mr. Fair back in Orange. Perhaps over time he can move into a position coach role. I bet he's got a thing or two he could teach some of the young db's.

Can I just say I almost had a heart attack when I read the first few words of the header and looked at the picture! "After his NFL career, former Tennessee star ..." And I saw Peyton Manning. I thought you were about to say Peyton was coming back to coach!!

call me crazy ''but i do think after manning nfl days he will end up back at tenn..what part is unknown but i can see him helping or even becoming a head coach..ide love to see that before its my time to depart..i can remember the day he started day 1,,very slim
but tough as nails..and the rest was and is history.
miss those days...come back home manning !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember it also. It seems like yesterday. I talked to Archie that day right after he walked out of a gateway at Williams-Brice. Coach Cut was talking to Brandon Stewart and Peyton. I mentioned to Archie that I was excited about Peyton starting. He was cordial as usual and replied,"yes it's a great opportunity, we're excited as well".
I'm very excited Terry Fair is back. It's great to have the elite Vols of the past infuse their passion back into the program.

Not sure what his title or role is but he his working for peanuts..Given his experience he should be coaching the secondary..Back in the day he was a game changing punt returner

Wes,
I am a little unclear on when he can coach. Can he attend practice and be on the sidelines in games? Or does he have to be in the booth? Seems hard to enforce the "no coaching" rule. Can he coach one on one outside of practice?
