Fantasy Baseball League Draft is over

  • How do you feel about your team heading into this year? I know it's all speculation right now, but I feel okay about mine. I got some decent hitters, my pitching staff isn't as sexy as some people's, and like everyone else I have a couple of question marks at certain positions. I give my team a solid B+. If you could give your team a letter grade (A-F), what would it be?

I'd give my team a "B" right now. I like my pitching pretty well, but I have a couple too many question marks on offense for my taste. It has the potential to be better, but now I'll go with a "B."

  • I think in a league as deep as ours, a "B" is a pretty good grade. I think we all knew going that the pickings were going to be slim come the end of the draft. My biggest question mark has to be Chipper Jones--If healthy, he'll contribute solid numbers from the utility position. But if he's not....

  • hard for me to answer that question bc this is the first 16 team league i've done, so I have no frame of reference in terms of how well my draft went....

I do have quite a few holes on my team, and I suspect everyone else has at least a few concerns...

A bit OT..... Atlanta fans, what is your take on Jair Jurrjens this year????? (I drafted him)

I would have taken him had he been available. I think its more getting back in the groove again more than anything. He has to trust his knee and once he does that he will have to find his location again and then I think he will be fine. He just has to trust his body first

I agree about JJ. When he's healthy, he's tough to handle. I think/hope this will be a good year for him.

  • I couldn't make the draft but I'm not too terribly disappointed in my team right now. I'm just glad baseball is almost here! clap

  • After looking it over, I'll give myself a "C" Could have done better, could have done worse.

  • I'd probably say a B-minus or so. I love my offense and power-speed mixture. I really wish I'd gotten another closer and another quality starter.

  • I am a C at the best. I took a few high risk/high reward picks. That never works out for me. One day I will learn.

  • My team ain't gonna win the SB or avg battle very often but I think I'm gonna hit some bombs and score some runs. I went with CC and Weaver early on so I hope they pay off. But I give myself a C+ I think bc I think I'm alright but I missed out on a few guys that just basically slipped my mind and I had the chance to take them and when they popped up it hit me that they were still around. And I wasn't as prepared as I would've liked to be for the late round guys as far as sleepers and newcomers that will make a bang.. oh well. Let's hit the diamond!

  • I haven't looked at everyone's roster but with this many teams I'm sure we are all thin at one spot or another which too me makes it more interesting and strategic

All the rosters kind of run together ... but I think I remember liking your team a lot, Sam
