Can you give me a reason to keep him other then he wasnt on the field playing? dont worry ill wait....

    The last three recruiting classes.
Bringing in the coaches we now have
    VFL program
The class he now has commited (granted not signed but at least a top 20 plus class)

We have a run game finally
Special teams are much improved (minus the one bonehead play Saturday on the pooch kick)
Team is not in the news for bones thugs and harmony items--aka not robbing the truck stop with a pellet gun.
we are a better team today than we were when he took over.

and so far with the FLA game the exception we have won the games we were supposed to win this year and really the last two years minus FLA 2012 and UK 2011.

Dooley is responsible for the product on the field.. It is his team. I dont know what to tell you if we cant win this game with two weeks to prepare for it...

I am responsible for my sales staff....with your logic when Apple comes out with the newest toy I should be responsible for the R and D in my company to get bigger and better and sell more than them. I do agree when it comes to getting players in the class that we need and having them ready for what they will face he is responsible for that as well as getting his coaches on the same play, teaching the kids the game and understanding their roles. But the two weeks was more for getting healthy and we still were not healthy on Defense--missing Curt M with the toe and the hand injury during the game was a big blow, loosing a great safety and playing a true freshman on the road in the SEC was not an idea situation.

Yes he is responsible--but he also has to have the tools and in three years he has had some really highly rankes classes which is either bad rankings, bad coaching by position, or a lot of misses--I don't believe the coaches are coaching badly and I don't believe the players were misses. I do believe the players have to have some leadership in the classes above them and this team does not have that leadership. Neither side of the ball has solid leadership and without that it does not matter if it is High School, College, or NFL you will not have success.

+1 for ya. This is exactly it. Dooley has turned this program around from what he got and is establishing a foundation for the program.

  • I have been a dooley supporter front the beginng give the guy a chance style i understood that he came in a very bad situation he said all the right things but we do you stop building the foundation and buils the house talent wise were better i also understand our defense was going to struggle but look at our offense in the first half how many 3 and outs did we have now on miss state i didnt see them as a top 25 team and still dnt because of all the bone headed plays our team made the should have murdered us in the first half also it seems like last year the game ended in the first half and this year after florida the game begins in the second half i couldnt tell you the last time i have seen this team play a complete game .and that. Concerns and for that i believe its time for tennessee to move on to another coach with sec experiece
