I like the fact that CBJ has already spent time with two Vol legends and invited them to practice.....Gus Manning and John Ward. Great move on his part.

Good stuff Wes. I watched the presser and came away completely bought in. His exuberance and confidence was refreshing. And if I, a dumb ole fan, can see it, the players should be chomping at the bit. Let's hope he walks that walk. GO VOLS!

What about Graham, Pittman and Hinshaw. Number one item on the to do list. I know he wants coaches loyal to him, but is his ego so large he forgets loyalty to UT?

Do you think maybe Hart should buy out the Oregon game contract? If not, the Vols could have 2 quick losses next Sept (Fla and Oregon) especially if the big three (B P & H) leave for the pros. Gonna be another couple of lean years for the Vols but I think BJ is the man to turn it around. GO BIG ORANGE

Absolutely Not!!! This is Tennessee! First and Foremost Oregon may not have Chip Kelly due to sanctions and the possibility he goes to NFL. Second it will say to the team right away, hey we don't believe in you! And there is talent on this team! Enough to win?? Who knows that's why you play the game but certainly everyone expects a loss so no one should be jumping ship on Coach Jones after that!!

Agree totally! Don't care if he cleans house on D and Spcl Teams staffs, in fact he darn well should, but keep those three! Welcome to Big Orange Country, CBJ! GoVols!

No way - it was a bad idea when Hammy bought out the UNC game, buying out any further games would just further erode our standing, IMHO.

I like the hire. I like the man. He says all the right things. He has a "body of work" that speaks of a successful system that he uses wherever he goes. These are all good things.
And I will not sing his praises AT ALL. He will have to prove it. I want him to make me a believer--because that is what he will have to do with the players. When you imagine what they have been through, all the change, all the losses, all the crap--they need a coach and a staff that will make them believe that Tennessee is a winning program, that Tennessee is a team that has fortitude, guts, and power, that Tennessee is tired of playing in the shadows of its rivals, that Tennessee is respected and feared by the entire SEC.
Make us believe, Coach Jones. Bring it.
