Not for hire here or anywhere else of relevance. Coaches that are not allowed to recruit and are about to be slapped with a show cause are not high on the board for coaches.

Pretty sure OP was kidding. I hope so anyway. Obviously Trooper wasn't much of an asset of any kind at Auburn. More like a liability.

Yeah, I was kidding. He and another assistant at Auburn were pulled off the road a few weeks ago due to some recruiting issues that have surfaced, including a recruit from Memphis who had his transcript changed to be eligible to enroll at Auburn. From some reports I have seen, it could get ugly there. It might make someone like Jimbo Fisher think twice about taking the job or it could just make Jimbo Fisher a lot more money if he takes the job.

Officially, the NCAA has said this current investigation does not involve Cam newton's recruitment. But if they dig deep enough and find something linking that to these other issues, Auburn is going to be in for a world of trouble. Given how they went after USC and Auburn's status as a repeat offender (see Pat Dye), they could get hit harder than anyone not named SMU...
