I remember how happy Stan Drayton was to be away from Urban too.......

Recruit Recruit Rectuit. Because of all the mess thats been going on I am more hesitant than ever but the one thing that is familiar to when the Vols were winning is character and family. We all have evidence (former Vols returning (some with their sons)) the family part is back.

Call me crazy but I think we seriously came out smelling like roses on this RB coach switch. CRG seems like a sharp guy that fits better in what we want to do on offense.

The ONLY knock I have on Jay Graham is his silent departure. No thanks and good luck to the Vol Nation. Sorry, I know it's the way of the business, but it could have been that simple. Thank you and good luck. I still appreciate all that he brought to UT as a coach and recruiter. I don't need to compare Graham and Gillespie, though. I am simply happy to have a RB coach who wants to be here, brings great experience as a player, coach, and recruiter. He knows this system more than Graham and that is better for UT at the end of the day.
So welcome Coach Gillespie!

Not that I doubted CBJ, but this hire underscores that coach understands just how important recruiting is in the SEC. A major get for Vol Nation!

"The goalposts came down that night in Neyland, and one ended up in the Tennessee River. The Vols went on to win a national championship. Gillespie flew back to Gainesville an angry young man" i was sitting in a vehicle on cumberland ave. that night on my way home from the game , traffic at a standstill and finally starting to sober up from my pre game partying when i looked over saw people carrying the goal post down the strip . i remember thinking to myself"now there is something you dont see everyday" .

All I know is this. When CJG left abruptly, it was a near meltdown. Doom and gloom shall surely follow. The bUTch did what bUTch does and brings in a great hire. Since then it has been a non issue. Probably a non issue to begin with. We just felt a little betrayed for the second time in the last 3 months. CRG will make us proud. GO VOLS!

wes im late to the party here ,so my question is Robert Gillespie
has to help us in florida recruiting more so then graham and plus
i beleive when he goes for a 5 star running back he can get him signed unlike graham did..so my question is can you compare robert to graham in recruiting and robert being a better closer
on signing a player? thanks wes in advance

Umm, no, not me. Sorry. I may like an former player like CRG, but I will always hate the gators as a general rule. And the tide...and many others. That's just me, though.
I don't think any less of someone who doesn't hate the teams I do. As long as they love the Big Orange, its all good.

Haha... No trust me, I hate Florida just as much as any Vol fan. CRG just seems like a real genuine guy is all that I meant.
