I hate to see it go away, but I have a feeling that as the Big East becomes a Conference USA 2010 reunion tour with each passing day, paired with Pastners underachieving teams, ol Tiger High will miss the RPI bump they'll need from playing a team in a real conference. I mean, Boise just chose the MWAC over the new Big East.
Boise wanted its own TV rights/money from the Big East. I believe the MW accepted those terms. The shape the Big East was in I thought they would have to just to keep their head above water. I absolutely hate all this realignment crap.
Back on topic, I will really miss this game if it doesn't come back in the near future. When I think about this rivalry, I think of the 1 vs 2 game that gave us our only top ranked team in our history and the great season that followed. Lets finish this series in the win column. Go Vols!
