Fulmer

  • I know that Fulmer got to content towards the latter stage of his tenure as HC, but I think he may have learned his lesson now. Who else knows Tennessee football like he does, he would retain the good quality coaches and recruiters we have. I think maybe he would bring some coaches back home such as Tee Martin, and Trooper Taylor. Yes he would have to find a nice OC but I think maybe Tee would fill that spot for him. As for the defense it would not surprise me if the old buddies came together again last name Chavis first name John. What I am trying to say, is yes Fulmer made mistakes but who else loves Tennessee football as much as him. I think he has refreshed and refocused on what he needs to do. As far as pay he will not cost as much as everyone thinks, actually he would be so excited he may say for free lol. Anyway that's my perspective, maybe I am wrong but it makes some sense

A couple years ago, even as a former huge Fulmer supporter, I would have thought it insane to even entertain this idea, responding with, "that ship has sailed," or the like. Now, it makes a lot more sense than some of the other names being floated out there, like Peterson, Malzahn, and the former Tulsa guy.

If CDD really is a goner, and we can't get the truly big name to come, I'd at least give him an interview and listen to his plan for the future. Question #1: What will you do differently? Question #2: What have you learned in your time away from coaching?

No one loves Tennessee more. No one.
