Sad, but probably true.

While I am a little shocked at Graham leaving, and love having former Vols on staff, it should also be noted that Graham did Not land any of the big-time RB recruits out there (which may or may not be fair - I am leaning toward not fair) during his brief UT tenure. It should also be noted that just about any full-time RB coach was going to produce a better run game behind UT's OL last year (compared to having a GA as RB coach prior) - so is nearly impossible to Objectively gauge how good a job he did of upgrading the vol run-game (vs what another coach might have done). I would argue that the biggest difference between the SEC and the rest of the country is the Players in the SEC - not necessarily the coaches. It is not time to jump off a bridge because the RB coach left. Given CBJ's track record of winning (albeit not in the SEC), there is at least some reason to believe that he will make a good hire. The players we are recruiting sure have a lot of good things to say about the coaches UT has hired so far. Granted, the proof is Ws and Ls next year, but, by and large, the feedback on the new coaches to date has been very good.

Absolutely! But I think that's natural to feel that way, particularly when you're still in shock.

Regarding Hurd... hopefully CBJ has a strong enough relationship with Hurd to keep us in the running. Thankfully it's still early in his recruitment, so there's plenty of time for him to forge a strong relationship with the new RB coach (whoever that may be).

This is bad, anyway you look at it.
