Someone give him a +1 for me no accidentally dv. My bad bro.

It's all good. I live in Memphis so I know he was a disaster hc, just curious why someone hated him as a rb coach do much.

He's a RB coach. Plain and simple, yes it will hurt losing him on the recruiting trail, however he's not the X's and O's guy, we will make it through this and come out on top. CBJ has won everywhere he has went, and I have no reason to believe he won't win here.

I know proof will be in the puddin, all I say to you is its February, give this staff time and we will be back to winning in no time!!! GBO!!!!

Good post +1 Let's wait until we can show graham how much progress we've made.

  • The sky is falling! The sky is falling!!! Jay Graham stayed at Jones request and held together a decent recruiting class that would have absolutely fallen apart without his help. Chances are the FSU gig had been on the table back in December but Jay didn't want to shaft his school. I sounds like this is a step up in the coaching ranks and a good career move for him. If it had to happen, thank goodness it is now. We have time to find a new coach and a year to salvage or improve recruiting relationships. It sucks to think a Tennessee alum doesn't want to be here, but as a UT alum, I wish him nothing but the best.

  • I think the bigger question is why was he the second lowest paid coach on the new staff? This goes back to hart and cheeks. This wouldn't have happened in the 90's when Dickey spent money, and yet somehow we were still in a better financial state. Thanks Hamilton/Hart/Cheeks..

Haha didn't mean to. I know nothing about him. Lol.

  • I can't believe how much everyone is overreacting to this. It's really ridiculous.

I agree. The OC at Florida State left, and Randy Sanders is the Running Backs Coach. Everyone can say what they want, but I'll bet he got a HUGE pay raise, one that you can't pay a RB coach. I say good luck to him. He helped us put together a pretty good team, and should be applauded. If he got, not only a raise, but a promotion, something he wasn't in line for here, than I don't blame him for leaving. That being said.......if he left for a similar position there without a big jump in pay, than I say..."Go Canes!"

  • Question:
    1) Did UT have a chance to counter the offer?
    2) Does he get expanded duties ie. Recruiting coord
    3) Doea he see a big upside in Fl State or a downside in UT
I wish we had made him our recruiting coord in the first place. Hopefully we get a black guy, to add a little more soul to all these Polish Catholics.

it doesnt really matter chances are this whole staff will be gone in a few years anyway. i just dont think cbj style of football is gonna work in the sec and we just dont have the firepower on our staff to bring in the elite talent. i know im gonna get dv to death but these are my concerns .

hold on there hack, remember, Les Miles or Tricky Nick didnt have SEC experience when they came in, give the guy a chance.

It sure doesnt take much for some people to start tyin the nuce, CBJ hasnt even played a game yet, lets see what happens when he actually does!

  • FSU lost their recruiting coordinator. I would guess that Jay Graham will probably be given that title at FSU. It's disappointing, but you really can't blame a man for taking a promotion and more money, if that is the case.

Word I got was that the admissions acadimic standard was to hard to recruit against other schools. In other words: get rid of Jimmy Cheek

I can't bad mouth Jay Grahm. Everyone has to do what they feel is best for them and their family. I wish him well and hope UT hires a great RB coach.

Anyone thought about old Trooper Taylor? I know, I know..... However, Trooper was a good RB coach while at UT. Thoughts?

He's the first person i thought of to replace Jay. Trooper needs a job and we need a coach.

  • It is what it is, bring back Trooper. As long as he is clear with the NCAA, I support that hire. Good luck to Coach Graham.

  • WOW! I wonder just how much CBJ and CJG discussed this prior to the announcement? Did CBJ give a first class effort to keep him? Or did he just accept the resignation? Wes/Ryan hope you can add some perspective as to what really went down!

  • Word is Graham wanted to work with Randy Sanders. I am surprised Sanders had a job. After Cut left and he took over the offense struggled and his work at KY is self explanatory.
I am good with Taylor. Just want to know why he was taken off the recruiting trail at Auburn.
Auburn had a good staff and if we inherit them I am fine. Chizic was a bad HC and I think Jones is way more competent

  • A loss for words....Really? An Alumni? If he hasn't received some massive promotion and pay increase this smacks of total betrayal. Too many bad words come to mind now. Just when it starts to feel like we're getting some positive momentum.... and once again let down. But this time by one of our own!

I think this is the attitude we should all take ODA751 +1 from me.
