Greatest individual performance you've seen live on the hardwood

McCrae was really good last night, 34 and 6-6 from 3 was special. However, I wasn't there and even if I was it wouldn't have been nearly the best show I've seen live. That honor (unfortunately) goes to Jodie Meeks. The night he put up 54 for Kentucky and blew us off the court was something else. I sure was mad that night, but looking back I am glad I got to see it in person.
Honorable mentions:
Tyler Hansbrough - 40 pts against GT
Chris Lofton - many nights but 35 against Texas with a monster shot over Durant to go to OT.

Yep, I was at that games also. My wife and I were sitiing right in front of about 5 Kentucky fans who were just laying it on us. Meeks was in the zone that night.

In 8th grade, I put up 44 of our 52 points at Norwood Middle School.
I would say Lebron against then Pistons when he put up 26 straight.

Mine was by Chris Jackson of LSU. He scored 49 or 50 points against the Vols and made 10 3-pointers.

Hard to disagree with this one. The night Meeks was on fire. I remember looking up and not able to believe he had as many points as he did. When he broke 50 I was in disbelief.

Bernard King was memorable everytime he took the court at Stokely. He finished his career averaging a "double double" per game -- 25.8 points and 13.2 rebounds.
My best memory is one game against Kentucky, won by the Vols 103-98, Bernard had a bad knee that day, but still scored 24 and had 20 rebounds. His last game against Kentucky was in '77 at Stokely, another Vol victory. He scored 36 that day.

I haven't watched a ton of basketball live but was a student when Bernard King was there and every game was special with him. You kept your eyes glued on him because you didn't want to miss what he would do next.

Unfortunately I'm old enough to remember some of the shows that Bernard King put on at Stokely Athletic Center. Possibly the most enjoyable basketball player I've ever watched. I love having him more involved in the Tennessee family again.

I wasn't there to see it live, but Michael Jordan with the flu in the NBA Finals against the Utah Jazz was pretty amazing to watch. The real flu, not a cold like people we work with call the flu.

Randy Culpepper in 2006 at the Carbondale Illinois high school tournament set a tournament record by scoring 72 points. That's in 8 minute quarters. It was the most dominate performance I've ever seen.
Also in 2007 Elliot Williams from St. George's beat a very strong Brentwood Academy team by himself. He scored 40 points had 9 rebounds and 7 steals. Unbelievable performance

I was at that game. Both teams scored over a 100. Houston and Oneal lit it up too.

Jordan is probably the best I've seen live, or at least that I can remember.
When I was in middle school, I was a manager for my middle school basketball team. We went to Harriman to play and our defense wound up standing in awe as one guy was draining threes and even dunking the ball. I'd wager he was a 17 year old eighth grader, but still, not a lot of middle schoolers can dunk
